Shadows That Are Not Silent

New Album: Shadows of the Beyond
Synopsis: Shadows That Are Not Silent
In the heart of a remote village, Aldara and Noctus, a pair of paranormal investigators, arrive to explore the enigmatic home of a lost girl. Local legend has it that anyone who dares to cross the threshold will find more than darkness: they will find a little keeper of secrets, a figure caught between fury and oblivion.
Night had already fallen over the small town, and only the murmur of the wind broke the silence in the narrow streets. Aldara and Noctus, known in select paranormal research circles, parked their van on the outskirts, where the abandoned house began. That construction, aged and twisted by the passage of time, looked like a giant shadow, silently waiting for its intruders.
Aldara, whose senses seemed to sharpen in the gloom, sensed something unusual even before she crossed the gate. Without speaking, she watched Noctus, who was calmly inspecting the facade. His seriousness and coolness made him seem unflappable; to him, logic was his weapon, though deep down he harbored an almost reverential respect for the secrets on the other side.
“Do you notice anything?” asked Noctus, though he already knew the answer. It was his method of understanding her, letting her verbalize her sensations.
“There is something… someone. We are not alone, though it does not yet show itself,” Aldara replied, her voice barely a whisper.
They moved forward together, crossing the door which gave way with a long, ominous creak. The air inside was thick, and each step seemed to echo like a warning echo. In the gloom, they discovered an empty, dust-covered room where time seemed to have been trapped. Suddenly, an icy current swept through the room, and the silhouette of a girl appeared in the center, watching them with expressionless eyes.
“Why are they here?” the figure murmured, her voice a mixture of curiosity and resentment.
Noctus and Aldara exchanged a glance. Without hesitation, Aldara stepped forward, trying to calm the presence that watched them. “We want to know your story,” she said softly, sensing the girl’s restless energy.
“My story brings no peace,” the figure replied in a chilling voice, before disappearing, leaving only the echo of her words. Instantly, the house began to vibrate, as if the walls themselves were responding to their dweller’s discontent.
Noctus, ever the skeptic, watched coolly, though his hands trembled slightly. Aldara sensed the change, and understood that they had crossed an invisible line. The spirit’s fury was not just a warning, but a curse: they were trapped.
With the vibration intensifying, the girl’s silhouette reappeared, but now her eyes were dark pools of resentment. With a wave of her hand, the front door slammed shut, sealing them inside.
“Only those who share my pain can understand,” the figure murmured before dissolving into thin air.
Aldara felt a growing pressure in her chest, as if an invisible hand was trapping her. Noctus, still rational, silently searched for the exit, but he knew in that moment that the purpose of the house was not to let them go.
“There’s something he wants to show us,” Aldara whispered, her voice barely a whisper.
At the far end of the room, a dim light began to emanate from a room. With no other choice, Aldara and Noctus moved forward, aware that each step brought them closer to the dark secret of the house… and perhaps to a destination they could not escape.
“To be continued…”
