One Wave Too Far

One Wave Too Far travels back to the early life of Asher Crowe, long before music became his profession. At the time, Asher worked in maritime rescue, where experience had taught him that courage without control could quickly create another victim.

Everything changes when a fearless new recruit joins the team. Talented, confident and dangerously impulsive, she ignores Asher’s warning during one of her first major rescues and enters the water after spotting a man trapped in the waves.

She reaches the survivor, but another wave takes them both. Asher follows into the sea and manages to bring them back, turning their first rescue together into the beginning of a relationship built on conflict, respect and shared danger.

The track combines classic rock, melodic hard rock and strong 80s and 90s influences. Driving guitars, live drums and Asher’s soulful baritone give the rescue story weight, while the changing choruses follow the action instead of simply repeating it.

The morning after the rescue, the new recruit walks past Asher with a coffee and asks one simple question: same time tomorrow? Their story has only just begun.
