Chapter 9 – The Echo of Betrayal
The relic burns in his hand.
But it does not give power. It gives visions. Of flames. Of a throne of bones.
Of himself… laughing like a tyrant.
Eirik changes. And his pack senses it.
But the biggest shadow is not within him….
He’s on horseback, with a stolen crown and a poisonous command:
“Find him. And if he resists… bring me his head.”
Alrik cannot forget his father’s words:
“Give him back what belongs to him.”
But fear is stronger than honor.
And when brothers meet amidst fog and blood,
there is no room for words.
Only swords.
And a truth that has yet to be spoken.
