Clara and Marco visit the goldsmith, an elderly man named Esteban, known for his skillful hands and his belief in the supernatural. At first, Esteban is reluctant. “Working under the full moon always carries risks,” he warns. But when he sees Clara’s medal, his eyes widen in surprise. “This has ancient power – are you sure you want to transform it?” Clara nods with determination, knowing it’s a price she must pay.
Stephen agrees, but on one condition: they themselves must make sure the silver is clean and free of impurities before it is worked. This involves a trip to a sacred spring outside the city, where they must purify the medal under the crystal clear water of a hidden cave. The task is complicated when they discover that the cave is guarded by shadows that seem to have a life of their own, remnants of other curses that have become entwined with the place.
Confronting the Past:
While preparing the silver object, Marco and Clara must also trace the origins of Fenrir’s most painful memory. Their investigations lead them to an abandoned village deep in the forest, a place where time seems to have stopped. There they find fragments of a diary written by a man who could have been Fenrir before the curse.
The pages are full of regret and anger, but one entry in particular catches their attention. It tells of a lost love, betrayed by the very hand that loved him. Clara suspects that this love was the catalyst for the curse, and decides to find a way to invoke that memory when the time comes.
